Pratts oil sign type N

This cast iron garage plaque pays tribute to Pratts Motor Oil, a famous supplier of engine lubriants founded in the late 1880's. This sign was found in service stations everywhere, before Pratts was first taken over by Standard Oil, and then eventually becoming part of the ESSO brand, which we all know today. The sign is handpainted in an antique, aged style, using the Pratts brand colour scheme of red, blue and white. A lovely piece of vintage style automobilia.
