This particular cast iron Shell wall plaque is extremely popular among automotive enthusiasts. Long and narrow (at 51cm in length), this garage sign is among the most iconic advertising signs that Shell produced. At one time, the raised red and black lettering on the traditional yellow background, displaying the message "Shell Motor Sold Here", could be seen in petrol stations and mechanic workshops everywhere.
