GWR Railways No Smoking Sign (Black)

GWR No Smoking sign
In Stock

The Great Western Railway started operating between Bristol and London in 1838. Thirty years later, in 1868, a parliamentary order resulted in the trains starting to offer smoke-free carriages. This cast iron railway sign is a nod to this interesting piece of history, as the first no-smoking signs that started to appear on carriages and platforms. The sign itself is made from durable cast iron and is finished with a handpainted vintage effect - with white raised lettering on a black background. Pre-drilled holes make it easy to hang on a wall of your choice.
