Royal Mail Post Box - White

This stunning cast iron post box comes finished in hand-painted white. Constructed from a combination of cast iron & pressed steel, the box feels sturdy and durable. The iconic design dates back to 1896, when these smaller "lamp boxes" were introduced to supplement the larger traditional pillar post boxes. Although the design was originally intended to be mounted on street lamps, these boxes can also be mounted on poles or embedded in walls. The item is finished with gold "Post Office" lettering, together with the traditional Latin initials of the reigning Monarch. The white colouring really makes these post boxes stand out, and this model has become very popular to display at weddings, engagements and other special occasions. Comes complete with lock and key.
