The Silver King Golf Ball Figure

This cast iron figure depicts the Silver King Man. He was used as a point of sale advertisment by the Silvertown Company, a famous golf ball manufacturer. The Silver King Man started appearing on the desks of professional golf retailers in the early 1900's. Original versions of the Silver King Man are extremely rare, due to their initial papier-mâché construction. This figure is carefully handpainted in original colours and stands on a plinth bearing the words "Silver King Golf Ball". This is a lovely, unique figure, with a very interesting back-story, and is very popular with fans of sporting memorabilia.
